Con Edison utility work is planned for this weekend on Washington St.

This weekend, Washington Street will be closed between Battery Place and the pedestrian overpass (above the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel entrance) for Con Edison utility work. The closure will take place starting Friday, January 11th through Monday, January 13th, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. Motorists can use West or Greenwich Street as alternative routes. The company is coordinating the closure with the city Department of Transportation and other agencies.
