New Park Place Reconstruction Segment Begins

Pedestrian access and one traffic lane will be maintained
Pedestrian access and one traffic lane will be maintained

Roadway reconstruction work is moving eastward on Park Place beginning on or after September 15, 2008. With work nearing completion west of Church Street, the city Department of Design and Construction will begin work on the north side of Park Place between Church Street and Broadway. Westbound traffic will be restricted, but two lanes of eastbound traffic will be maintained throughout this project, which is expected to conclude in approximately six months.  Crews will begin on the south side upon completion of the north-side reconstruction. Part of the Beekman Street/Park Place Reconstruction project, work includes sewer and other utility upgrades, as well as reconstruction of new curbs, sidewalks, and roadways.
