New Pace Dorm to Top Out in April

180 Broadway will top out in April 2012
180 Broadway will top out in April 2012

Rising at a rapid pace of about two floors per week, the new tower at 180 Broadway is now at floor 21, and set to top out at 24 stories by the end of the month. The building will serve as a new dormitory for Pace University, with ground-level retail. Contractor Tishman Construction began superstructure construction in January 2012, using a tower crane located on the Broadway side of the building. That crane is planned to come down the weekend of May 5 and 6, with lane closures on Broadway and John Street (exact details still to come). Facade-panel installation begins this month, with the towers overall completion expected in December 2012.
