J/Z Subway Service Returns to Lower Manhattan

J/Z subway service returns to Fulton Street and Broad Street stations
J/Z subway service returns to Fulton Street and Broad Street stations

Full J/Z subway service resumed on Tuesday, December 4th. The train now reaches the Financial District, including both the Fulton Street and Broad Street stations. Since Hurricane Sandy, the train had been operating only to Chambers Street. During the service outage, MTA New York City Transit workers repaired hundreds of signal wires damaged in the storm when a third-rail cable fire melted the signal cables. Repairs and complete engineering tests certify that all circuits and systems are working as designed.
