Fulton and Water Utility Project Moves Buses

Work is beginning at the Fulton and Water intersection
Work is beginning at the Fulton and Water intersection

Starting Monday, January 7, 2013, city Department of Design and Construction crews will begin capital reconstruction of the Fulton and Water intersection. The project is a continuation of the water-main installation along the Fulton Street Corridor, and includes replacement and repair of ducts, mains, catch basins, and other facilities. Crews will work regular weekday hours, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with night and weekend work if needed. Similar construction also will continue into the South Street Seaport area, east of Water Street.

Along the west side off of Fulton near the Pearl Street intersection, the bus stop for the following routes will be relocated north towards Beekman Street for approximately one year: M15, QM7, QM8, X8, and X14. Additionally, the Downtown Connection bus stop will be shifted approximately 60 feet south towards John Street through March 31, 2013. Existing traffic patterns remain in effect.
