Final Road Repaving for Three FiDi Streets

Nassau will be repaved along with several other area streets
Nassau will be repaved along with several other area streets

Multiple streets around the upper Financial District will be paved with new asphalt over the weekend of August 4th and 5th. Fulton Street from Cliff to Pearl, the Fulton-South Street intersection, and Nassau from Beekman to Spruce (including the Nassau-Beekman intersection) each will be repaved, as part of the citys Fulton Street Corridor Phase 2 project. Traffic detours will be in place during the repaving operations, with crews working daytime hours. Each of those streets and intersections were rebuilt with new water mains and other utilities over the past year.

Additional Phase 2 work is proceeding in the South Street Seaport area through 2013, while Fulton Phase 3 work is now rebuilding the infrastructure of Nassau Street from John to Fulton, as well as completing sidewalk and curb replacement in several areas.
