The new hotel is slated to open in March 2010

The tower crane at 123 Washington Street, soon to open as a W Hotel, is coming down. The work began Wednesday, October 28th and continues through Sunday, November 1st. To remove the crane, Washington Street will be closed between Albany and Carlisle. Next weekend, November 7th and 8th, final crane removal work also is planned, and includes the closure of Washington and Carlisle Streets beside the work site. Façade work will continue on the tower using the building’s hoist for the next several weeks. The new hotel is slated to open in March 2010.
