Josh
Rosenbloom is director of city operations for the Lower
Manhattan Construction Command Center, appointed by
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Mr. Rosenbloom is accountable
directly to the executive director of the Command Center
and to City Hall for coordinating the various municipal
services as they interface with the construction projects
to ensure that the city agencies are able to provide
a high level of service to the Lower Manhattan community.
He is also responsible for facilitating city agency
reviews of the various construction projects to ensure
that those projects proceed on schedule.
Before becoming director of city operations of the
Command Center, Mr. Rosenbloom served in the Lower Manhattan
Borough Commissioner’s Office and the New York
City Department of Transportation, where he was responsible
for planning and implementing new transportation projects,
reviewing and overseeing construction projects in Lower
Manhattan to minimize their impacts on traffic, and
developing the framework of the Command Center itself.
Mr. Rosenbloom holds a bachelor’s degree in civil
engineering from Columbia University. He was the recipient
of the Downtown Alliance Exceptional Service Award in
2005.
