As part of the joint Executive Orders that established the LMCCC, the agency is charged with communicating construction information among various stakeholder audiences, including residents, corporate and retail businesses, visitors, and tourists.
Details culled from coordination meetings, city permits, and other community notifications are used for outreach through the LowerManhattan.info website and other means. Public and private “Project Updates” are posted and regularly updated, as are construction-related news stories, traffic advisories, air-monitoring reports, project photographs, and a library of construction presentations, contacts, and other documents.
Also through LowerManhattan.info, visitors can subscribe to weekly e-mail updates that highlight the week’s construction news and forecasts, along with all downtown-related news from local media.
The website is operated by the LMCCC and hosted by Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global technology, engineering and management firm.
Website manager Kelsy Chauvin oversees its content, and serves as editor, reporter and photographer.
