About the Director -- Beverly Bobb
Beverly Bobb is a Senior Project Manager at the LMCCC. She has been with the organization for over two years, and in that time has worked closely on a program called Opportunity Downtown where she manages a budget of over $750,000. A main function of Opportunity Downtown is to ensure that minorities and women have unimpeded access to the employment, contracting, and subcontracting opportunities that are created as part of the Lower Manhattan rebuilding effort. Beverly has been the key figure in maintaining that standard. In February 2009, she was published in the “Real Estate Weekly” newspaper, with an article that described the fortuity and accord this program provides the community.
Prior to her work here, Beverly spent three years at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. There she began as an assistant project manager and worked her way up to a project manager position. As project manager, she managed and oversaw a $281 million Residential Grant Program (RPG), along with monitoring agency programs and projects for compliance with HUD, State and LMDC regulations. She also spent a year at Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, LLP, a 112 year old law firm, where she too acted as an assistant project manager, working to coordinate CLE training programs.
Ms. Bobb recently received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Concordia College where she majored in Business Administration. She graduated with honors and is currently looking to pursue her Masters in Urban Policy Analysis and Management at Milano, the New School for Management and Urban Policy.
