The Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center (LMCCC) has partnered with the New York Building Congress (NYBC) to Implement its Constrcution for a Liable City Program. The program was established to recognize construction projects that help improve quality of life throughout the work. The voluntary program encourages project managers to meet standards for:
Operations and safety
Environmental impact
Image and design
Community relations
In Lower Manhattan, the LMCCC is collaborating with the NYBC and Alliance for Downtown New York to help construction sites achieve the Livable City standards, as specified on a downloadable checklist. The LMCCC will monitor the participating work sites and issue scores based on checklist criteria.
In addition to local gratitude, projects that exceed the Livable City standards will earn Worksite Achievment Awards, and will be recognized on this website.
