The communications department oversees the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center (LMCCC)'s media, communications, and public relations outreach, ensuring comprehensive media coverage and a consistent LMCCC message across all corporate departments. The director of the communications department serves as chief spokesperson with all primary and secondary media outlets and is the main contact for senior communications staff of various government entities such as Office of the Governor, Office of the Mayor, Port Authority, and others.

In addition, the communications department oversees the development of a communications and marketing program that includes the various functional areas of the agency.

The department also establishes and maintains a communications calendar to ensure public awareness of important initiatives through press conferences, press releases, op-ed pieces, editorial boards, marketing materials, and speaking engagements for LMCCC's executives. It also manages all media events, including press conferences, ground breakings, openings, public hearings, and general announcements.

To contact the Communications Department, please email Robin Forst at rforst@lmccc.nyc.gov or call (212) 442-3726.
