Five Nine John Lofts will be completed next summer
Five Nine John Lofts is a conversion of an office building to luxury lofts that began in the summer of 2004. The 73-unit condo located at 59 John Street offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, most with home offices. Prices range from $795,000 for a one-bedroom apartment to $2.55 million for a penthouse. Current buyers primarily include residents already living below 14th Street and families who have found themselves priced out of Tribeca, a sales representative for the building said. Occupancy began late December 2006.

Summary

The lobby will feature a reflecting pool
Five Nine John Lofts was designed by Andres Escobar with architect Karl Fisher. All the apartments have high ceilings, oversized windows, and luxury finishes. Many larger apartments on the upper floors have fireplaces and outdoor space. The building originally stood at nine floors, but four new stories have been added.

The lobby features a reflecting pool, and there is a lounge with an adjoining garden. Other building amenities include 24-hour doorman/concierge, storage rooms, and a fitness center. A 6,000-square-foot ground floor space currently occupied by the condo’s sales office will be available for retail purposes.

Daily Activities

The project was completed in March 2007.
