Following are links to Lower Manhattan police precincts. Information on these sites includes the precinct profile, precinct crime stats, citywide crime stats, precinct phone numbers, programs and initiatives, and community council information.
- The 1st Precinct encompasses an area that consists of only one square mile but is extensive in its wide array of commercial, residential and tourist attractions. Notable areas of interest include the WTC site, City Hall, World Financial Center, Battery Park, New York Stock Exchange, Fulton Fish Market, South Street Seaport, and Federal Hall.
- The 5th Precinct is comprised of one of the largest Asian populations within New York City. There are many specialty shops, restaurants, and stores in the Chinatown Area in Lower Manhattan. Notable areas of interest include NYPD Police Headquarters, Chinatown, Little Italy, Brooklyn Bridge area, Manhattan Bridge area, Federal/State/City Courts, and Federal Jail.
- The 7th Precinct services the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It is the second smallest precinct in the city consisting of only .62 square miles. The population is enhanced during working hours due to the thriving business on Orchard St. and the large transient population utilizing the Williamsburg Bridge and the 2 subway stations at Essex Street and Delancey and Essex Street and East Broadway. The precinct has always been a true melting pot with 45 percent of the population being foreign born over the last century.
